What wine do you drink when it's 100 degrees outside ? This is a good question - if you are in the cool of air conditioning you can still enjoy your favorite cabernet, merlot or shiraz.

But if you are like most of us, at the pool, at the lake, or at the game, we need something that won't make us swelter even more in the Texas Heat.

The summer wine choice usually comes down to white wines and roses, wines that can be enjoyed cold.

The whites are typically preferred, especially in crisper or lighter styles like Reislings, Moscato and Sauvignon Blancs. Roses can also be a perfect choice for summer fare; however the great roses are more dry than sweet and generally you want to buy one as young as you can find.
